Transforming an Art Room
Being an art teacher means I can be very picky about my surroundings. So my motto goes: If I can't adapt to my new habitat, I make it adapt to me...and my pupils of course.
When I commenced this particular post I was immediately struck by the drab grey cupboards that bordered practically 3/4 of the room. I really wanted to make a good first impression with my pupils (99% boys) too, given their social, emotional and mental health needs. The answer: SPRAY PAINT! The cupboard doors became the perfect canvas and the solution to getting my boys on board with their new art teacher.
