A Performance Artist based in Brunei and the UK. Works with experimental, sonic, installed pieces. Leaves traces. Hides faces.

This artist began her journey through performance in 2005, via her 'Home' series in which she interprets and expresses the word with a non-scripted, non-rehearsed sequence of actions and body movements; whilst going through a transition of having to live two different countries with a distance of thousands of miles between them.

This series lasted for three years and have evolved from the state of being 'Homesick' to becoming 'Sick of Home'. 

After a 5 year hiatus (only continuing with short, undocumented, durational performances in the comfort of her own home), she came back to the world of performance in 2014, with the pseudonym 'Temperatie'.

 

 

The name 'Temperatie' is a play of the following words:
- 'Temp', latin for non-lasting
- 'Tempera', a non-permanent painting medium
- 'Tempero', Italian for self-restraint
- 'Temperati', Italian for character; and
- 'e', a latin suffix for being away or 'on a mission'.
